Narrative
Graduated in one of the first classes in Electrical Engineering from the University of Minneapolis. Met Mamie Stewart in Fergus Falls, while on "some project" with his classmates. Married in 1898 and moved to Decorah, Iowa, where he pioneered in the distribution and use of electricty. --notes from Helen Perry "Retired" at age 45, when he refused to obey his bosses' command to force farmers off their land to make way for a private electric company.
